About

Strategic design,
sharpened by AI.

A strategic design leader and hands-on creative, I specialise in shaping bold brand narratives that balance creative ambition with measurable impact. My work sits at the intersection of design, technology, and performance where ideas are not only visually compelling but purpose-built to deliver results. By integrating AI and automation into creative workflows, I streamline processes, unlock new possibilities, and keep output sharp in an ever-evolving industry.

With experience spanning the UK, Indonesia, Australia, Gibraltar, and Spain, I bring a global perspective to every project. This international exposure has strengthened my ability to adapt, collaborate, and lead across cultures building strong creative teams, fostering innovation, and consistently pushing beyond the brief to deliver meaningful, forward-thinking work.

Most recently as Senior Creative at BOYLE Sports, leading a team of six designers and motion specialists; before that, Senior Animator & Designer at BOC Agency, heading up a team of four designers and editors.

Selected Work

What I Do

Deep working knowledge across the major LLM and generative platforms. I help teams integrate AI into real design workflows, from smart analytics and data pipelines to custom models that accelerate output without compromising craft. The tools are moving fast. My job is making sure the creative keeps up.

From cutting skate edits on Premiere Pro 5.0 as a kid, to shipping advanced After Effects work for broadcast, to now operating at the front edge of AI-driven motion, automated scripting, and generative video workflows. Three decades of cutting, one consistent instinct: make it move, make it land.

Over 6 years of leading creative teams in fast-paced media environments. I've built and trained international teams, managed senior stakeholders, and kept output sharp under serious delivery pressure. Good leadership isn't about control. It's about making sure the right people have what they need to do the best work of their careers, and actually enjoy doing it.

Run Designer Run

My designer's take on the classic Chrome dino game. Pick your designer type, then run the briefing gauntlet: leaping bad briefs and dodging curveballs. And stay alert when a deadline approaches, because the whole game speeds up.

Listen

Suno Music Player

Many years have passed since I was a teenager pulling tunes off Napster and Kazaa, and half the joy was the Winamp skins you could download to play them in. Now we're at a point where you can create your own tunes and build your own player to match. A small showcase of tracks produced in Suno, running through a custom HTML player, visualiser included.

Automate

1,296 Assets. Under Two Hours.

This summer's 48-team tournament meant 96 kits, home and away, three markets, and nine social ATL asset sizes per fixture. Every match needing the right kits, the right copy, the right format, across every performance platform we run at BOYLE Sports. The old way: a designer builds each kit by hand and populates every fixture manually. A week of work before the knockout stages even start. So I automated it instead.

Claude Code scraped every released kit and kept a tracker running for the late arrivals. A batch node workflow through FLORA then generated our own bespoke versions: sponsors stripped, sizing consistent, house style locked. Ten minutes. From there, a Photoshop artboard template spanning all nine sizes across the three markets, driven by an ExtendScript built with Claude that runs directly inside Photoshop. Feed it a CSV of fixtures and it pulls the correct home and away kits, writes the matchup and exports the lot.

The result: 1,296 accurate, organised marketing assets. Start to finish, under two hours. Built once, ready for every stage that follows.

Train

Keep your design skills sharp

Design keeps changing; the fundamentals don't. Sometimes the best thing you can do is go back to basics: opposites, centre alignment and pen control. Three drills built entirely in HTML where a designer can keep their eye sharp. Steady hands, honest scores.

Play

Sonic 1, but not as you know it.

An experiment in constructing an 8-bit Sonic game with a crossover cast: Mario, Crash Bandicoot and Zelda dropped into a Sega environment, all running seamlessly in HTML. Nintendo classics on Sega turf.

Midjourney ‘24 Vibes: The One That Went Viral

Long before Nano Banana, it was all Midjourney prompt anatomy: lengthy prompts, aspect ratios, reference tags, the early craft of coaxing exactly what you wanted out of an image model. The idea here was simple. Take a much-loved TV show and turn its characters into boxed Barbie figures. The hard part: the clothing and the faces. Shared into a few Facebook groups, it went properly viral.

LJ's 1st Birthday Book

A picture storybook, partly written by me in the spirit of The Gruffalo, inspired by the first year of my son's life: living beside a small patch of forest and watching the animals come and go.
